Cycling in Malaga

Cycling is one of the best choices of outdoor activities in Malaga. This is due to the variety of cycling routes that can be planned out depending on the elevation of the terrain. There are plenty of spectacular cycling routes along the coast and going up the hill as we move away from the sea.

One of them is the circuit from Parque La Laguna to the University of Malaga in Plaza Marina. They are 5.5km within the city, making it a fairly short route, but with a slight incline. It is an ideal cycling path if you are a student trying to get to the lecture on time!

Do you feel like having that extra element of endurance in your legs? Then, you might want to check this out! Twice as long, and twice as difficult, the cycling route from the centre of Malaga to the Desembocadura Natural Park will give you a real cardio workout. Starting from the University of Malaga, you can do this circuit along the entire promenade, or use the detour through Puerta Blanca to cross the Guadalhorce River.
