A family run restaurant, the ‘smoky cave’ offers delicious plates for really great prices. Order a ‘bomba’ – a potato croquette dipped in aioli and served with a homemade cayenne-pepper sauce. The best time to come is round noon but beware, the sign can be easily missed if you aren’t paying attention!

A burger restaurant to beat all burger restaurants, the Oval lets you actually make your own, and has every topping you could possibly think of. At €8,60 a burger, it’s almost certain that you’re going to come back here before you leave Barcelona. Don’t be afraid to try combinations like dried cranberries and honey mustard!

Probably the cheapest and best quality Italian pizza restaurant in Barcelona, you could eat here every day of your trip and still not be halfway done with the menu. Along with serving huge portions of steaming hot pizza, they also serve ice cold beer – what more can you ask for?

The atmosphere is open and friendly, and is perfect for large families or even just groups of friends on a night out.
